Alberto Jones / CEO of Moody´s Investor Services for México, Central America and the Caribbean.

 

ImageEconomics graduate from the Mexican Autonomous Technological Institute (ITAM) and Masters in International Direction in the same institute, Alberto Jones has had a brilliant career in the financial field. With more than 20 years of versatile work experience, he is the current CEO of Moody´s Investor Services for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.

 

Throughout his wide experience, Alberto has occupied many  jobs, among which stand out recently the one of Executive Director of Bank Transactions and Capital Markets in Bank Boston in Mexico, as well as various positions heading structural finance functions in Chase Manhattan Bank Mexico and a brokerage firm Valores Mexicanos and in the risk department within Citibank Mexico. Alberto Jones won the Banamex Award of Economics in 1989.

 

Ramón Montenegro / (Hipotecaria Nacional)

 

ImageHe has an Administration bachelors degree from the Mexican Autonomous Technological Institute (ITAM). With a broad and recognized experience in the field, Ramón Montenegro is currently the Adjunct Director of the Individual Credit Department within Hipotecaria Nacional, BBVA Bancomer Financial Group. Previously to this current position he was the Credit Risk Management Director in Sociedad Hipotecaria Federal (SHF).

 

Among the most outstanding achievements in his academic career stands out a first place in Co-participation in the Energy Economics Congress (2001) celebrated in the CIDE for his Research “Valuación de un Portafolios de Gas Natural: Una Aplicación de la Teoría de Opciones Reales” (Natural Gas Portfolios Valuation: An Application of the Theory of Real Options) and “Análisis de Swap Salario Mínimo-UDIs” (Minimum Wage-Inflation Index Swap Analysis), which were presented in the Actuarial Congress in Paris, May 2006.

 

Javier Márquez Diez-Canedo / Banco de México

 

ImageJavier Márquez is currently the General Manager of Risks Analysis and Special Projects in the Bank of Mexico. Among his main responsibilities, are included special risk studies related with the mexican financial system, including specific issues of banking regulation. He has a broad experience both, in the Bank of Mexico and in the private and commercial bank sector, and in the financial analysis, research and risks management subjects.

 

Ph.D. Márquez is graduated in Mecanic Engineering Administration (IMA) from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM, 1965). Furthermore, he has a Master´s degree in Transactional Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE, 1967) and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences with a minor in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University (JHU, 1974). He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Engineering and of the Mexican Institute of Finance Executives (IMEF). He has written two books and pusblished countless papers in professional and academic magazines;  both in Mexico and abroad.

 

 

 Dan Rosen / The Fields Institute Toronto, Canada

ImageDan Rosen is currently a researcher at the Fields Institute of Toronto, Canada, and an adjunct professor of the Mathematical Finance program at the University of Toronto. Besides his academic activities, Dr. Rosen practices as a consultant of financial institutions in the United States, Europe and Latinamerica in valuation models, risks management, economics and regulation capital, and is the President and Research Director of R2 Financial Technologies.

Up to July 2005, Dan Rosen had a successful ten-year career at Algorithmics Inc., where he held senior management roles in research, strategy and business development. He also headed the design and positioning of products and methodologies of credit risk and market risk, advanced simulation and capital management solutions in the same institution.

Dr. Rosen lectures extensively around the world on financial engineering, capital management, credit risk and optimization models, and has written numerous research and diffusion papers. Dr. Rosen is director in Toronto of PRMIA (Professional Risk Management International Association), is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board of the Fields Institute, the credit risk committee of the IAFE (International Association of Financial Engineering), the valuation committe of Valmer, and is one of the founders of RiskLab, an international research centre in Financial Engineering and Risk Management.

 

Marek Rutkowski / New South Wales University in Sydney

 

ImageDr. Marek Rutkowski, professor of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, he is considered as one of the most recognized specialists around the world in the Credit Risk field, particularly in the creation of new approaches and models.

 

He is coautor of two books in modern finances “Martingale Methods en Financial Modeling” and “Credit Risk Modeling”, both by Springer. He has authored numerous research papers in this field, beside leaders and great authorities in this matter worldwide (Tomas R. Bielecki of the Illinois Institute of Technology, USA and Monique Jeanblanc of the Universite d'Evry Val d'Essonne, France).

 

Roberto Jasso / Development Director of Tallnet Sistemas Integrales S.A. de C.V.

 

ImageRoberto Jasso is currently professor of the Actuarial School in the North Anahuac University of Mexico. His lecture is oriented towards subjects of Computer Programming and Numerical Analysis, to the Bachelor´s and Master´s degree and Qualifications. He also has a broad experience as an independent consultant in the design, development and implementation of computer systems. His main clients are: EDS from Mexico (Mexicana de Aviación y Aeroméxico), Sodexho, Accor, Prestaciones Universales, Chedraui stores, etc.

 

Roberto Jasso graduated in Actuarial Sciences from the North Anahuac University of Mexico, he has a Qualification in Computing Sciences Management and is about to receive the Master´s degree in Information Technology Engineering from the same University. He is a member of the Mexican Association of Statistics (AME) and has presented various research studies as a coautor in different academic forums and congresses in this field.
